Read and generate QR codes easily and conveniently without online tools. DevUtils.app allows you to quickly generate QR codes right in your macOS without any internet connection.
It supports various options for you to customize the QR codes as your needs.
Quickly generate QR Code
You can generate QR codes quickly from anywhere in your macOS. Activate the app by:
- Press ⌃⌥⌘Space(Or your own customized hotkey, up to you)
- Click to icon in the status bar
Input
Simply enter your QR code content in the textbox. You can also load the content from:
- Your clipboard
- A file (drag drop)
- Right click → Load from File...
You can also select one of the predefined templates. Here are the supported templates in DevUtils:
- URL
- Phone
- SMS
- vCard
- Event
- Wifi
Output
You can add watermark or icon/logo to your QR code by clicking the "Add Watermark..." and "Add Icon..." button.
Click the "Save" button to save the output QR code to a file, or click the "Copy image" button to copy the image to clipboard.

Read QR Code
You can easily read a content of a QR code with DevUtils. Click the "File..." button to read QR code from an image file. If you already have the QR code image in your clipboard, click the "Clipboard button".
